Match report
Unless they get hold of a more virile forward line the Town club will continue to lose matches. Saturday’s display was one of the poorest I have seen for many a long day and St Albans City well deserved their win.
It is said that the City have an eye on the Spartan League Championship and although they have got to play exceptionally well to catch up Chesham Generals, there is no getting away from the fact that the Herts men have a well-balanced side. The return of Edmonds and Grimsdell must have made a lot of difference, for both are splendid players. Their Southern League experience with Watford evidently developed them into performers above the ordinary senior club class.
