Joined The Saints in December 1931 and went on to score 148 goals in 174 appearances.
Left Clarence Park to join Wealdstone in 1936 where he scored 174 goals in four seasons.
In representative matches he played for The Athenian League, Isthmian League, Hertfordshire, London Amateurs and South v North and the Amateur International Trial game.
He joined the Suffolk Regiment in 1940 and went to the Far East. He was reported missing after Singapore and after a long period of suspense news was received that he was a prisoner of war in Malaya. He passed away in June 1943.
