St Albans City and Leavesden Asylum, the only two clubs in the running for the championship of the Western Division of the Herts County League, met in their return fixture on Tuesday afternoon. That Leavesden succeeded in dividing the points is not difficult to account for. St Albans City were playing their fourth arduous game in six days and, as was only natural, were far from being at their best. Their usual finish was missing, but they gave quite as good as they got. Leavesden, who were represented by a much improved eleven, played fine football, however, and all things considered, a draw was the most fitting result. The Saints were without Squires, F.Hughes and Knott, but J.Richardson, W.Richardson and Wisby did well in their places.
