Although St Albans City defeated Chesham Generals on Saturday, there was nothing much to enthuse in their display. It was generally admitted that they should have won by at least double the number of goals they eventually did. As it was, there was too much finessing and erratic shooting on the part of the forwards who, for the first half-hour, could do everything but score and it was irony that, at the end of that period, the Generals should break away and be the first to score. Although the Saints improved, their forward play was none too convincing. Both teams were at full strength.
