After having had two-thirds of the first hour’s play. St Albans City relapsed to mediocrity on the last thirty minutes of their Spartan League game at Aylesbury on Saturday and, in consequence, were beaten. The ground, a very poor one, was just long enough to conform with the law and the grass was so long that the Saints short passing game was quite out of the question. The fixture attracted the United’s largest gate of the season.
