With consumate ease St Albans City passed into the next round of the Herts Senior Cup by beating Hemel Hempstead to the tune of 6 goals to two – a margin which very much under-rates the superiority of the Albanians. A more remarkable game has seldom been witnessed on the City’s playing pitch, for apart from the marvellous escapes of the Hemel Hempstead goal, the fixture will be memorable for the sequence of corners obtained by the City team, the total of which could not have been far short of a score. Owing to the late arrival of Hemel Hempstead, the game did not commence until after three o’clock.
