St Albans City succeeded in capturing a useful brace of Spartan League points at the expense of Hitchin Town on Saturday in an even and spiritless game. Both teams were stronger than in the Senior Cup encounters, the City being able to bring in Patrick, Cook, Knott and Hammond while Hitchin had the services of Ebden, Grimes,A.King and T.Hawes, all fine players. Neither side showed any marked superiority over the other and in scoring twice to their opponents once, the City had the luck.
