St Albans City gained two more Spartan League points on Thursday at Clarence Park in their rearranged fixture with Newportonians. The City had their best team with the exception of H.Adams(of the Reserves) for A.Seabrook while the Newportonians could muster only ten men.
The English amateur team chosen to play matches in Germany and Holland at Easter is of local interest in that the official in charge is Mr.G.Wagstaff Simmons of St Albans and that Mr.G.Hartley, the St Albans City F.C.’s trainer, is engaged to look after the players.
