From the time they joined the Spartan League, East Ham F.C. have improved their eleven year by year until at present they are one of the strongest combinations in the League. Having this season twice beaten Aylesbury United at Aylesbury, where the City went down somewhat heavily last winter, it was expected that they would fully extend the City on Saturday and this they succeeded in doing, although the home team were worthy of the win they established. Feeling that he has not been doing himself justice, A.Seabrook has resigned the captaincy of the City eleven and A.T.Walker has once more been appointed skipper. Walker’s luck in winning the toss has in the past been considerable. On Saturday it did not desert him and “Tommy” had no hesitation in deciding upon the usual programme, viz., kicking away from the entrance goal in the first half. In crisp football weather, there was about an average crowd around the ropes.
