Week by week the City are improving their position at the head of the League table and by overwhelming the London Polytechnic they added another in their long line of successes. Had they taken advantage of all the scoring chances which their dash and quickness on the ball afforded them with on Saturday, the Saints would have compiled their record score of the season. As it was they scored four fine goals, all the result of first-rate efforts and the play occasionally reached a high standard. The City took the field minus Hatton, who was absent through injury, Palmer dropping back, Cook taking his old position of right-half and R.Emerton, of St Albans Thursday, filling the gap at outside-left.
