St Albans City entertained Sutton Court on Boxing Day afternoon before one of the largest attendances of the season, the game being in connection with the Spartan League. The weather was dull and a strong wind continually blowing the ball into touch, tended to spoil the play. In the second half the pace improved and the City doing the major portion of the attacking, there were some exciting incidents at the “entrance” goal. Both teams were strongly represented.
