“EDMONDS SCORES TWO GOALS”Against Woodford Albion at Clarence Park on Saturday St Albans City had one of the strongest sides that have represented them this season. There were two alterations from the previous week. Hosier reappeared at outside-right and G.Edmonds came in at centre. Although handicapped by a strong wind which blew directly up the pitch and very greasy ground, the football was always bright and interesting. After the first few minutes, when Woodford had quite as much of the play as the City, the home team had practically all the play and deserved their two goal victory. Notwithstanding the unsettled weather, a fair sized crowd had gathered round the ropes.
