“RAILWAYMEN NO MATCH FOR THE CITIZENS”The City gained two more valuable points in the Spartan League at the expense of the Great Western Railway, on Saturday. The game was played on a very heavy and greasy ground, upon which the City seemed quite at home. The whole team was in good form and the Railwaymen, although they played a plucky game, were over-played and rarely dangerous. For the greater part of the game the City were attacking and consequently Smith had practically nothing to do. However, he made one or two very smart clearances.
