“TWO MORE LEAGUE POINTS”Before a very good attendance at Clarence Park on Saturday, the Newportonians met St Albans City for the second time in the Spartan League. Whether the weather or the change in the team were responsible is not clear, but the football of the home team was not as good as usual. In both halves the City had the larger share of the play, but it was in the second-half that they showed the better form. Edmonds and Wingfield were unable to play and their places were occupied by W.Paul(who made a welcome reappearance after a long absence from the team) and A.Wiggs.
