Such counter attractions as the Boat Race and the semi-final of the English Cup probably effected last Saturday’s gate. Anyhow, the crowd that assembled to welcome Sutton Court on the occasion of their second visit to Clarence Park was of less than average dimensions.
Hatton and Christmas were absent from the City eleven so Chipperfield (right) occupied the centre half position and C.Fearn appeared at right back.
