Ivan Sharpe
Ivan Gordon Sharpe (1889 to 1968) lived in St Peters Street, St Albans and played for his local club during the 1908/09 season. He went on to play as an amateur for Glossop, Leeds City and Derby County. He made eight appearances for the England Amateur team and won a gold medal at the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm.
After retirement he became a journalist of some renown.
