Clovis started his career with Reading, and had successful spells at Barnet and Salisbury before joining Forest Green Rovers in 2014. He made 39 appearances for Rovers in the 2014/2015 season and in the following season was loaned to newly promoted Boreham Wood where he joined current Saints’ manager, Ian Allinson. Clovis then signed for York City but his appearances were limited following a serious knee injury that left him out of the game for 12 months.
