One of Sid Prosser’s first signings when he returned as manager in February 1975. Abell was a 19-year-old midfielder that Prosser picked up from Sunday League football. Made 12 appearances but did not return for the start of the 1975-76 season and informed Prosser that he wanted to return to just playing in the Sunday League.
