A former member of Hitchin Town’s youth set-up, Darren acquitted himself well in the senior side.
A foraging midfielder, he went on the Canaries' youth team's tour of Brazil during June 2001.
Moved to Berkhamsted in the summer of 2002 before returning to the Premier with Bedford Town in November '02.
Joined from Bedford Town following their play-off defeat by the Saints at the end of the 2003-04 season.
Went on to manage Yeovil, Stevenage, Woking and Hartlepool.
