Signed for St Albans City in the summer of 2008 having progressed through the EFCO youth system at Stevenage Borough. Gained senior experience during the 2007-08 season in the Spartan South Midlands League with Biggleswade Town and Luton club Kent Athletic. Although only 19, he is a qualified referee and took the line for 20 minutes of the Saints Setanta Shield tie with Hayes & Yeading United on 9 September 2008 after one of the match officials suffered a leg injury. Did not break into the City First team but made five Reserve team appearances before moving on to join St Neots Town.
