Midfielder who joined the Saints in October 2008.
Hurrell was the Series 1 winner of the Football Icon competition on Sky One in 2005, which earned him a professional contract with Chelsea. He played for Chelsea's youth team, and he made a couple of appearances for the reserves. He also played in the 2006 Milk Cup.
He was released at the end of the 2007 season and had a trial with Leyton Orient and has also had a trial with Bradford City, but was unsuccessful in being offered a contract.
In February 2008, Sam took up a coaching role at Chelsea FC.
In the summer of 2008, Sam coached children aged 18 months to 5 years old for Little Kickers, Running Courses in South Oxhey and Watford.
