Centre forward who started his playing career after leaving school with St Stephens, Andre & Sleigh and Watford Wednesday, whilst working in Watford's print industry.

Joined St Albans City at the start of the 1911/12 season and made 65 appearances scoring 63 times.

Left Clarence Park to join Watford whom he played for either side of the 1st World War making 85 appearances scoring 45 goals.

Joined Wolverhampton Wanderers in 1920 and won a runners-up medal in the 1921 FA Cup final.
